Educational Programs

New York Reads Together is a city-wide book discussion program organized by the New York Women’s Agenda (NYWA). New York Reads Together highlights one book at a time and its purpose is simple; get everyone reading one book, and then empower New York’s families, friends, neighbors, co-workers, schools, educators, intellectuals, book clubs, congregations, and community groups to hold discussions with one another and express their thoughts about the book and its subject matters. New York Reads Together has endorsed Sammy & Sue Go Green Too! and has selected this title for their upcoming events. Barbara Gerard has invited author Suzanne Corso to Co-Chair the New York Reads Together Committee part of New York Women’s Agenda. www.nywa.org.

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is the nation’s most effective environmental action organization who utilizes law, science and the support of 1.2 million members and online activists to protect the planet’s wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things. With the support of its members and online activists, NRDC works to solve the most pressing environmental issues we face today: curbing global warming, getting toxic chemicals out of the environment, moving America beyond oil, reviving our oceans, saving wildlife and wild places, and helping China go green.
